At the turn of the century Jules Vroon, just a two year old boy, emigrated from Dinteloord, Holland to America to grow up in Michigan’s Christian schools where all subjects were taught from a Christian perspective. During the Depression Jules Vroon, now a husband and father, moved his young family to Florida. When he found no Christian schools like those he knew as a boy, he shared his vision to bring Christian education to south Florida with friends at Shenandoah Presbyterian Church. Their vision and hard work led to the founding of Westminster Christian School in 1961 with four teachers and twelve students. Today Westminster enrolls over 1,100 students, has achieved national recognition in academics, fine arts and athletics and occupies a modern 25 acre campus. But Jules Vroon would find one thing unchanged -- Westminster Christian School still provides a Christian education that teaches all subjects from a Christian perspective.

Building upon a past of remarkable accomplishment, the Board, the administration, the faculty, staff, alumni, parents and students of Westminster Christian School are determined, by God’s grace, to have an even greater future. The Vision adopted by our school, guides Westminster toward a future providing even better education, activities, facilities and services to our students. But as a school providentially placed in Miami, a prototype of the diverse, multi-cultural America of the future, we believe Westminster Christian School is ideally positioned to become a paradigm for Christian education in the 21st century. At Westminster, the future is welcomed with confidence and anticipation.
