HORIZONS

The Horizons Academic Support Program serves children from our Christian families. We provide support for students with a broad range of educational needs. The program is designed to help students reach their God-Given potential. We offer various levels of support and create a plan designed around the needs of the student.

GRASP

Guidance, Remediation, Academic Support Program

The high school academic support program offers individualized instruction during the school day. Students meet with the educational therapist four times a week. Sessions are structured to improve student's ability to think and reason. The therapist works closely with the regular education teacher to discuss the academic needs of the student. Specific techniques are used to address each area of difficulty and emphasize basic skills in all subject areas.

There is an additional fee for the GRASP program.

The GRASP program accepts students who have average to above average intelligence. The program is designed for the student with a learning disability and not for the student with a primary emotional, social, or medical dysfunction.

The admission procedures include:

q An application and fee

q A psycho-educational evaluation, completed within the past two years.

q An interview with the Director of Admission/or Director of Horizons Academic Support Program

q An official transcript, copy of most recent report card, and teacher recommendations
