Go to http://www.makingitcount.com/RoadToCollege/college/art_visit_d.asp for helpful hints about visiting college campuses. Most college websites will have a schedule of tours and information about making an appointment.

Plan to attend summer programs: missions, camp, sports, travel, volunteer or enrichment programs. Petersons (http://www.petersons.com/summerop/) is a great website resource for finding summer programs. The Guidance Office has a filing cabinet full of summer program resources. Come by any time and take a look. Colleges often ask you to write about your summer experiences in an essay or describe them in an interview.
