INTERNET ACCEPTABLE USE POLICY
Internet access to the World Wide Web (WWW) is now available to students and teachers at WCS. Internet access offers valuable, diverse, and unique educational resources to both students and teachers. Use of the Internet for educational projects will assist in preparing students for success in life and work in the 21st century. The students will learn to make choices, to refine their ability to evaluate and choose to gain new skills in selecting what is valuable from what is not. Our system has been established for educational purposes. The term "educational purpose" includes classroom research and activities.
It is the policy of Westminster Christian School that all users of the Internet read, sign, and agree to the terms of the Acceptable Use Policy (AUP). The purpose of this agreement is to ensure that use of Internet resources is consistent with the stated mission, goals, and objectives of the school. The smooth operation of the network relies upon the proper conduct of the students and faculty who must adhere to strict guidelines. These guidelines are provided so that students are aware of the responsibilities that go along with Internet use. If a user violates any of the provisions in the AUP, his or her account will be terminated in accord with the rules and regulations.
