Day Camp Information:

Camp Westminster 2010 will run from June 7th to July 16th from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm. The Camp is open for kids ages 5 to 14. Lunch is included daily! For the duration of Camp Westminster, your camper will be involved in a variety of Sports and Games and Enrichment activities that include Kickball, Field Hockey, Capture the Flag, Mini Olympics, Traditional Camp Games, Relays, Swimming, Storytelling, Nature Hikes, Fossil Digs, Catching Ocean Life (Catching Critters), Computers, Arts and Crafts, Camp vs Camp, and much more! REGISTRATION AND FULL PAYMENT ARE DUE ON THE FIRST DAY OF CAMP! SPOT NOT GUARANTEED UNTIL REGISTRATION AND PAYMENT IS RECEIVED! Click here to register.

Basketball Camp

The Westminster Christian Basketball Coaches offer full day basketball camps for girls & boys ages 7 to 14 - June 14-18 & June 21-25. The day runs from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 pm. Lunch is provided each day. All campers will receive a basketball and t-shirt. Your child will receive quality instruction in all phases of the game, including individual skill development, team concepts, sportsmanship and self-confidence in a positive and fun atmosphere. Art & Science Camp (( CAMP IS FULL NO MORE REGISTRATIONS WILL BE ACCEPTED))

We've got the art of fun down to a science!! Join Mr. Heetderks, Ms. Heetderks, and Ms. Arslan for five days FILLED with fun and exciting scientific explorations and experiments, as well as ceramic-painting, mask-making. clay forming, print-pulling, mosaic-building, and much, much more! The weekly fee includes all materials, firing fees, daily snacks, and all the fun you can handle in one day! Camp You will run from June 7 - 11 from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 pm. Bring a brown bag lunch and a water bottle. Space is limited so turn in your completed registration form TODAY! 

Coach Mira's WCS Football Camp

Come learn the drills and skills done by high school, college, and NFL players. Attend Coach Mira's WCS Football Camp and enhance your game, both mentally and physically. All positions will be taught, including kicking and punting. The camp will split time with indoor, as well as outdoor activities. Groups will be age-related. This camp is for elementary and middle school aged students. Bring a brown bag lunch, sunscreen and a water bottle. The day runs from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 pm.  Click here to register

Reading and Math Blast

Your child will BLAST forward as they are led in exciting and fun hands-on Reading and Math activities.  Unlike the traditional classroom, this program uses NO workbooks, but rather builds and enforces skills through interactive sensory learning games and activities.   Hands-on Math activities and games encourage students to interact with the world of numbers, thus gain a better understanding of math concepts.  Daily literature activities are incorporated for the development of comprehension, improved reading skills, and development of vocabulary.  Students are engulfed in fun and interactive literature activities that foster Reading and Math skills.  In addition, Reading and Math journals will be used.
Class size is limited.  This program is available for kindergarten through 1st grade students, and runs in conjunction with Camp Westminster's Day camp.  See the day schedule below:

Summer Strings Camp

Summer Strings Camp offers an exciting opportunity to learn from professional string players and conductors in a fun, laid-back summer setting. This camp will provide professional instruction on your child's individual instrument in small and large ensemble settings. It will also include music listening, music theory in the classroom and on computer programs, and in-class performances of the students and professionals. Summer Strings Camp offers your child an opportunity to continue playing and learning their instrument during the summer and offers flexible camp hours for busy summer schedules. LEVELS OFFERED:

Beginners: Offered to students of any grade who are interested in learning a new instrument. Private lessons are strongly recommended for this level to achieve adequate results.

Intermediate: Current orchestra students who read and perform grade level music 1 and 2.

Advanced: Current orchestra students who read and perform grade level music 3 and above.

SUMMER STRINGS CAMP WILL INCLUDE:

Music Theory: Studying the fundamentals of music and ear-training in the classroom.

Small Ensembles: Including the performing of duets, trios, and quartets which will be coached by professional string players.

Chamber Ensembles: Performing music of various time periods, conducted by experienced clinicians.

Weekly Performance Assessment: Will be performed at the end of each Friday's session and open to parents.

Prizes: Students will be given prizes for their weekly progress. The prizes include mostly candy & small cash prizes. Each week, the one student that has advanced the most will either win a new cake of rosin, a bow, new strings or the grand prize of an ANTIQUE VIOLIN!

Private Instruction: Available for an additional fee. This instruction is available to all students, including non-camp participants.
