It's Showtime Do you love to dance, act and sing? Do you long to hear that happy audience roar? Well get ready to razzle dazzle ‘em... IT’S SHOWTIME! Introducing the premier musical theater camp for performers ages 8 to 12 at WCS. Mrs. Jodie Rivera, Quest Supervisor and Drama Club Director, and Mrs. Marcie Levy, Coral Park High School Dance Director, along with a team of experienced assistants will lead students through two exhilarating weeks of dancing, acting, singing, and set and costume design, culminating in a showcase performance. Little Fish Summer School Mrs.Hoback & Mrs. Pybas June 9 - 13 & 16 - 20 from 9 a.m.-3 p.m. Children ages K3 – 1st grade (in fall) are invited to join our fun learning camp and boost existing and new school skills. Campers will complete a Summer Boost Workbook including math skills Sharpener and Language Arts. They will also experience cool and enriching summer themes through hands-on, amazing activities. Quest Soccer Camp For students entering grades 1-8, Quest Soccer Camp is a fun-filled camp where soccer skills are taught and improved by experienced instructors. In just one week, expert instructors will provide a solid footing in soccer fundamentals, giving your aspiring star the skills to help him or her become a better and more proficient player. Quest Net Assault Camp Especially designed for soccer players in grades 9-12, Quest Net Assault Camp is a high intensity/short duration program with a heavy concentration on shooting and scoring. It prepares soccer players for competitive high school and college ball by confidence-building and emphasizing the mental aspect of being a "goal sniper". The camp is limited to only 20 players per week, creating an individualized-style camp. Warrior Basketball Camp The Westminster Christian Basketball Coaches offer full day basketball camps for boys and girls ages 7 to 14 June 9-13 (boys' only), June 16-20(boy's only) and July 14-18 (girls' only) . The day runs from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 pm. A healthy lunch is provided each day. All campers will receive a basketball and t-shirt. Your child will receive quality instruction in all phases of the game, including individual skill development, team concepts, sportsmanship and self-confidence in a positive and fun atmosphere. AquaKids Westminster Head Swimming Coach, “Coach Lou” Manganiello, is offering the AquaKids FUNdamental Swim Camp this summer from June 2 to August 8. Both full day (9 a.m. to 3 p.m.) and half-day sessions (9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.) are available. AquaKids Learn-to-Swim Lessons, Continuing Education Swimming Lessons, and the AK SHARKS Swim Team programs are offered all year long at the WCS Pool. Weightless Women's Workout All women are invited to Westminster Christian School for a summer workout without using weights led by Katie Medder. This workout will include fitness walking, stretching, and a variety of floor exercises designed to tone your core as well as your arms and legs. The sessions will be 1 hour in length with a choice of three different times each day for 4 weeks (June 2 – 27 and June 30 – July 25). You can sign up for two days, three days, or five days per week. The class times are 9:00 a.m.–10:00 a.m.or 2:00 p.m.–3:00 p.m. This makes it convenient for drop off or pick up at your child’s summer camp. Five Star Baseball Camp For baseball enthusiasts ages 5-13, Five Star Baseball Camp allows kids of a wide range of ability to learn the fundamentals of the game within a relaxed, fun-filled atmosphere. Both half day and full day weekly sessions are available. Half-day campers attend from 9 a.m.-12 p.m. for $165 per week. Full-day campers receive lunch and enjoy a variety of afternoon activities ending at 3 p.m.Monday - Thursday and on Friday 9 a.m. - 12 p.m. at a weekly rate of $225. Miami Elite Volleyball Camp/Gold Medal Squared Volleyball Camp Westminster's Head Volleyball Coach, Julie Doan and her staff offer two weeks (June 23-27 and July 7-11) of volleyball for boys and girls entering grades 1-12. 1st- 5th graders: 9:00 a.m. to 12 p.m Monday-Friday; 6th- 8th graders: 1:00 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday-Thursday and 9th - 12th graders: 6:00 p.m. to 9:30 p.m.Monday-Thursday. The Gold Medal Squared Camp will run all day from August 4-8 and is open to WCS girls in grades 6-12 and by invitation only. The camp will be run by nationally renowned volleyball coach Carl McGown and his staff at Gold Medal Squared. The focus at this camp will be advanced skill development and team concepts.
Warrior Football Camp Westminster Football Coaches, Steve Johnson and Joe Mira, offer full day Flag Football camp for boys ages 8 to 15 on the week of July 28-August 1. The day runs from 9:00 a.m.- 3:00 p.m. The highly experienced staff emphasizes individual skills in the mornings and 7 on 7 competitions in the afternoons. No pads or helmets. Summer Strings Summer Strings is a one-week program filled with fun and challenging musical activities for all stringed instruments. Students will participate in chamber music (quintets, quartets, and trios), orchestra, music theory, music history, and technique classes. Students will have the opportunity to perform in a daily master-class, and the camp will conclude with a grand finale concert of solos, chamber music, and orchestra. Private lessons will be available for an additional fee. Experience great music, improve your playing, and make long lasting friendships! Our dates are July 14-18 and July 21-25. Art & Science Summer Camp Mr. Heetderks, Ms. Heetderks, & Ms. Arslan June 9-13, 2008, 9 a.m.-3 p.m. All Kindergarten - 5th grade students are invited to join this dynamic teaching team for five days FILLED with fun and exciting scientific explorations with fun and exciting experiments and crazy hands-on scientific adventures, as well as ceramic-painting, mask-making. tie-dying, clay-forming, puppet-creating, print-pulling, mosaic-building, and much, much more!
