The Fine Arts Department at Westminster Christian School is among the finest in the state of Florida. Westminster is a member of the Florida School Music Association and holds component memberships in the Florida Vocal, Florida Bandmasters, and Florida Orchestra Associations; The Drama Department also holds membership in the International Thespian Society. In the district and state festivals associated with these component organizations our performing groups regularly receive superior ratings. These superior performing groups have recently traveled to locations such as Carnegie Hall, Austria, the Bahamas, and Hawaii.

High School Orchestra Travels to Prague

The Westminster Christian High School Orchestra traveled and performed in Prague, Czech Republic. During their Spring break they flew into Frankfurt, and then onto Prague for six days and nights where they visited the old and new towns. The touring included visits to Wenceslas Square, Prague Castle, the Royal Route, the Jewish Quarter, St. Vitus Cathedral, Karlovy Vary, Troja Palace, a Vltava River Cruise , and Terezin, a fortress that the Nazis converted into a concentration camp during their occupation. The student’s first performance was at the Municipal Theatre in Trebon to an enthusiastic audience. Their second performance was at St. Savior’s Church in Prague to a full house audience, encores, and a standing ovation.
