Middle School Girls' Choir

Middle School Girls’ Choir is group of 6th, 7th, and 8th grade female students who perform seasonally, participate in national choral competitions in Orlando such as Musicfest, and have a multi-year record of Superior ratings. They enjoy adding choreography to their annual Dinner Theater selections of Broadway and Showchoir tunes.

Middle School Advanced Girls’ Ensemble

Middle School Advanced Girls’ Ensemble is a highly selective auditioned group of the most advanced middle school girls in grades 7 and 8 who are required to perform in two WCS music ensembles each day. This group provides vocal leadership when they perform together with the Girls’ Choir and MS combined choirs. They perform advanced treble three and four-part literature and look forward each year to the excitement of Dinner Theater where they can demonstrate their ability to sing and dance together as an ensemble. They are consistently rated Superior, both at the District level, and at the national choral competitions in Orlando.

Middle School Guys' Choir

Middle School Guys’ Choir is designed for 6th, 7th, and 8th grade students to meet the special needs of male vocal development. Choral literature is carefully selected to fit the changing ranges of guys at this age and literature styles include songs uniquely favored by guys, including Barbershop harmony. These students learn the basics of music notation, theory, sight-reading, and vocal production. They perform seasonally both alone and in combination with other MS choirs, facing yearly evaluations at both the Florida Vocal Association District evaluations and national competitions in Orlando such as Musicfest. They also perform in the annual Dinner Theater Production of Broadway and Showchoir numbers to rousing audience applause.
