Don't Miss
Westminster Christian Middle School's Junior Thespian Troupe 88896 presents "You + Me - An evening of short plays about {complicated} relationships” on Wed. & Thurs., Sept. 30 & Oct. 1 at 7 p.m. in the Guarch Family Auditorium. This performance is a combination of four short plays all dealing with the ups and downs of relationships between men and women.

They are Down and Out and Let Us Go into the Starry Night by John Patrick Shanley, Here and Now by Barry Hall, and The Rebrith of Beautiful by John Walch.

The actors in the cast are: Gigi Figueroa, CJ Heck, Michael Martinez, Allison de Moya, Anabella Mazariegos, Jilina Parker, Chandler Puig, Anthony Rivera and Isabella WhiteVicky Hoppe serves as stage manager, and Alana Arabitg as the assistant stage manager.  The performance is directed by Mr. Kyle A. Thomas.

Each of these great plays contain some element of the journey of sharing life with another individual.  In Down and Out, we are introduced to the Poet and his Love who shows how she is always there for him even when he feels that the world has crushed him.  Let Us Go into the Starry Night deals with the loneliness people feel in our modern world and what happens when we put aside all the superfluous niceties that get in the way of making real connections with people that can change our life.  In Here and Now we see that not all relationships have the ability to maintain that connection that may have once existed.  We see how difficult it truly is to just share something raw and real with someone we love.  Finally, in The Rebirth of Beautiful we see what happens when numbness and complacency enters our relationship with someone we love and how to fight through that wall of dead feeling.

Tickets are $5.00 each.  For more information call Kyle A. Thomas at (305) 233-2030 or email kthomas@wcsmiami.org.
