MS students showed their love for the people of Haiti during their "Have a Heart for Haiti" drive. Sponsored by the Middle School Student Council and the Junior National Honor Society, students were encouraged to forgo the usual flowers and candy at Valentine's, and instead donate items needed in Haiti. Students who participated received a heart to place on their locker that says, "I have a heart for Haiti." The drive achieved about 50% participation.

"It was great to see the students excited over getting a paper heart that said 'I have a heart for Haiti' that they could place on their locker," said Janet Wright, MS English teacher and NJHS Adviser.  "The MS students definitely have not forgotten Haiti with the passage of time.  They are still concerned and interested in how the island is faring and what are the greatest needs and concerns at this time."
