Support WCS

Annual Fund

What is the Annual Fund? Why is it important?

Simply Put. Quality is Expensive. Tuition revenues only cover the operating cost of a WCS education. We look to our parents, alumni, and all WCS stakeholders to INVEST in the growth of WCS and continue the tradition of enhancing the educational experience for our children. Classroom and building infrastructure, technology, faculty and staff development, fine arts, athletics, and FINANCIAL AID all benefit from your selfless generosity and committment to our expansion. The goal is 100 percent PARTICIPATION. Regardless of your contribution amount, you are a valued member of the Warrior Family and your donation is the backbone of our continued growth.

Thank you to our donors who helped us reach the highest level of participation ever in Westminster's history - 51 percent! Our goal is to build on this momentum and reach 100 percent participation, a resounding endorsement to outside organizations considering investing in our school. Aside from our participation goal, our annual financial goal will be to increase the dollar amount raised by 20 percent, allowing Westminster to steadily advance its curricular and extracurricular initiatives.

Frequently Asked Questions

List of 5 frequently asked questions.

  • Q: What is the Annual Fund? Why is it so important?

The Annual Fund is the primary fundraising vehicle used for enhancements to the educational experience for our children. It supports classroom and building infrastructure, fine arts, faculty and staff development, athletics, technology, and financial aid.
  • Q: We pay a considerable tuition to attend WCS, why do we need to give more?

Tuition covers the operating cost of a WCS education. The Annual Fund helps allow WCS to continue the tradition of enhancing the educational experience for our kids, while keeping tuition affordable. Below is a comparison of high school tuition rates at comparable schools.
    • Ransom Everglades - $31,450
    • Palmer Trinity School - $26,900
    • Gulliver Schools - $29,690
    • Westminster Christian School - $17,900
  • Q: Why is my participation important?

The first question that most outside constituencies ask before making a gift is, "What percentage of your Board, staff and parents contribute?" It is important that we show support from within before we go to outside sources for contributions. Why should an outside organization invest in Westminster, if we aren't willing to do the same? This is why 100% participation is always our goal.
  • Q: How much should I give?

In many ways, participation is more important that the amount given. However, each donor is asked to consider giving at a level that reflects their commitment to the school and their ability to give. Below are the six giving levels:
    • Warrior ($1-$999)
    • Angel ($1,000-$2,499)
    • Cornerstone ($2,500-$5,000)
    • Leadership ($5,000-$9,999)
    • Legacy ($10,000-$24,999)
    • Grand Benefactor Level ($25,000+)
  • Q: Is my gift tax deductible? What is a matching gift?

Gifts to the Annual Fund are tax-deductible! It is very common for companies to match employees' gifts to nonprofit organizations  at a 1:1 ratio.  Many families have taken this initiative and doubled there gift to WCS. Seriously!
