Matthias Meyer '23 Named Positive Person in Pinecrest
Matthias Meyer ’23 has been named a Positive Person in Pinecrest. The pandemic inspired him to create “Pincecrest Plays,” a free program that encourages children ages 5-12 to safely play outside, exercise and learn new skills. “It’s motivating to mentor them. It’s easy to build a relationship with the kids that keep coming back," said Meyer.
Matthias expects the program to expand and hopes to continue to serve his community and beyond. This upcoming summer, Matthias will be volunteering on a BLUE Missions trip to bring clean water and sanitation to an impoverished village in the Dominican Republic.
Westminster Christian School, located in Palmetto Bay, Florida, is a private, college-preparatory school for children from preschool through twelfth grade.
