Student Council & Leadership Council

Student Leadership is a unique model of student government, which is composed of class elected members and members who are selected through a 3-step application process by faculty. They serve their student body by coordinating events and activities, such homecoming, Warrior Week, sunrise devotions, etc. They learn about servant leadership.

  • Foreign Language Honor Society

    A student in the study of a Foreign language needs to have maintained an average of A- or above for three consecutive semesters to be inducted into the Foreign Language National Honor Society.

    Mu Alpha Theta is the National High School and Two-Year College Mathematics Honor Society that is dedicated to inspiring keen interest in mathematics, developing strong scholarship in the subject, and promoting the enjoyment of mathematics in high school and two-year college students.

  • Rho Kappa Honor Society

    Sponsor: Miss Lisa Hamming

    Rho Kappa is a National Honor Society that recognizes outstanding juniors and seniors in the field of Social Studies. Through its sponsorship of Rho Kappa, NCSS hopes to encourage an interest in, understanding of, and appreciation for the social studies.
  • Science National Honor Society

    Sponsor: Mrs. Lisa Garrido

    Students are chosen to be a part of the Science National Honor Society their junior and senior years of high school based on overall GPA as well as GPA in two consecutive honors classes. This honor society is an active one which has three main ongoing service projects: Mangrove Reclamation Project, Puppies on the Green for stress relief and adoption during exam weeks, and Science Fair Mentoring and Judging of Elementary/Middle School students.
  • Thespian Club

    Sponsor: Mrs. Diana Williams

    The Thespian Club is a Drama Honor Society run by the HS drama teacher. Students earn points through drama for an opportunity to participate in this club.

  • A Piece of Our Heart for Autism

    To serve God through interacting and helping others with disabilities and spread Autism Awareness.  It is a necessity at our school because it will allow us to bring awareness about the topic to our fellow classmates and will further expand their knowledge on the topic through our club.

  • Activ4Life

    The purpose of this club is to inform people of all ages the importance of maintaining a healthy body by staying active through doing exercise, activities, and sports. It is to help people change their lifestyles so that they can become healthier and more active. Being physically healthy will also allow others to become more mentally healthy. It is to teach people to take care of the temple that God gave us. It is a way to take a break from the stress of school and relax the mind. Our mission is to promote health as wealth.

    The purpose of this club is to help educate under priveledged individuals and their communities, and teach them the fundamental skill of reading.

  • Art with a Heart Club

    The mission of the art club is to provide an opportunity for all Westminster students to glorify God through art. Art Club does an assortment of artistic activities within Westminster Christian School. This year we will be painting the outside of the football locker room, painting portraits for Pride & Prejudice, helping Mrs. Williams with drama sets, and taking on any other new opportunities.

  • Be the Light

    To volunteer and participate with the Ari Arteaga Foundation. It will help bring awareness to the memory of Ari Arteaga and bring people together to pray and help raise money for less fortunate kids.

  • Beach Club - Environmental Conservation Club

    The purpose of this club is to glorify God with our good works, make the beaches clean, and show support for our community.

  • Blue Missions Club

    To glorify God through serving in the DR by performing both water projects or sanitation projects completely immersed in the campo.

  • Business & Entrepreneurship Club

    The purpose of this club is to teach other students how to become leaders in not only their community, but in the world. This club is meant to inspire people to become creative and proactive thinkers. I want to help students to begin thinking about startup business ideas, teach them strategies like estimating costs and writing a business plan, and help them find ways to fund their ideas to help them become a reality.

    The purpose of this club is to bring more awareness of the Hispanic/Latino culture to the Westminster family.

  • Christian Character Club

    This purpose of the club is to try to help as many organizations with volunteers as possible and serve as Christ served us.

    The purpose of this club is to fill in the blank of our club name periodically with an organization or recipient of clothing that we will be donating/sewing ourselves.

  • Connect4Cancer

    The purpose of this club is to show children who are in hospitals battling cancer that there are kids who care about them. We want to bring them arts and crafts and spend time with these kids who are stuck in a hospital room for weeks, even months. We would like to bring smiles to their faces by showing them that we care by visiting them and writing letters. We will also raise funds through bake sales and other means in order to purchase the arts and crafts and any other items throughout the year.

    The French Club welcomes any student who is interested in fellowship and the exploration of the French culture in Miami. We participate in activities at least one each quarter of the school year. We are open to new students and ideas.

  • Glory House of Miami

    The Glory House of Miami is a Christ-centered non-profit organization devoted to healing and restoring the lives of those who have suffered the abuse and exploitation of sex trafficking.

  • GOALS: Get Out And Love Soccer

    To provide the opportunity for children ages 2 – 17 within the autistic spectrum to enjoy exercise and interaction, through soccer or other activities, under the guidance of our volunteers.

  • Green Thumb

    The purpose of this club is to work on the school garden that is unattended and to create fresh produce for the cafeteria to use in our everyday foods. This club's sponsor is Francisco, who runs the meals and the kitchen. He will provide us with what to grow. The meetings will be held after school. The sole purpose of this club is to come together as a group, glorifying god, by promoting a healthier environment.

  • His House Children's Home Club

    The purpose of this club is first, to bring love and joy to these children who have been abandoned by their parents due to either drugs, jail or other reasons. These innocent children don’t have a family and we want to show them that they are not forgotten. We want to share God’s word with them and His love. We will hold fundraisers to obtain things they need. We will also help them celebrate holidays and special occasions that every child should be able to celebrate. We will also read to them and share God’s word since this is a faith-based organization. We will spend time with these children and bring smiles to their faces. We will bring joy to these innocent children by playing and interacting with them and showing them that they are not alone. We also plan on organizing many areas of the home that they need help in organizing.

  • Key Club

    The purpose of Key Club is to spread the Word of God through volunteering. Our goal is to encourage students to make a difference in the world one step at a time. We as a club will do several community service projects throughout the school year in order to make a difference in the lives of others.

  • Literary Magazine

    Roots will be the high school literary magazine of Westminster Christian School, publishing unique fiction, nonfiction, artwork, photography, and cartoons created by current WCS high school students for the purpose of bringing glory to God through the use of the talents with which He has blessed us.

  • Made with Love

    The purpose of the Made With Love Club is to put together care packages for foster kids who are about to be placed in temporary homes. With these care packages it would help new foster parents be more prepared in welcoming the child. Also, we would be able to visit Christ Fellowship once a month to play and interact with the kids while their new foster parents are in a meeting with the agency. This allows the kids to be less frightened about going into a new home and show that them that every thing is going to be alright.

  • Medical Missions Club

    Inspired by Baptist Hospital's Day of Smiles, the purpose of this club is to give students an opportunity to participate in medical missions, spreading the word of God. My goal for this Club is to be able to go with a group of students on a medical missions trip in a country of need. Additionally, I want to spread awareness and be able to get help for people with genetic facial deformities.

  • Missions Club

    - The purpose of this club is to not only to allow students a hands on experience to go on a missionary trip, but to help those in need. This club will teach students to be grateful, and show them how remain at the level of those we serve. By remaining at their level they will not feel in debt to us. This teaching us “And He said to them, ‘Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature that what we do can make huge difference.

  • Newspaper Club

    Students create mock newspapers that discuss topics ranging from fine arts to athletic events. It presents an opportunity to explore the exciting world of journalism and improve writing skills.

  • Oceanography Club

    The purpose of the Oceanography club is to promote conservation efforts for marine habitats as well as provides opportunities for students to engage in restoration of marine habitats.

    The purpose of this club is to bring a group of WCS students together as a family, where they can be excited to come to together. They will not only learn the technical aspects of the camera but they will learn how to allow people to emotionally connect with the pictures taken, to allow them to not only see but FEEL.

  • Sow A Seed

    Sow a Seed’s mission is to bring hope, reduce hardship and promote sustainable change in the lives of impoverished children, placing a special focus on orphans in the Caribbean.

  • SWE NEXT Warriors

    Introduce women into the world of engineering and create an atmosphere to ensure that all women passionate about engineering receive opportunities to pursue their God given talents.

  • The Breakfast Club

    The purpose is to have students pursue the culinary arts. Together we will practice how to make and prepare foods, especially Breakfast foods.

  • Touching Chapman with Love

    The purpose of this club is to go to Chapman, a homeless shelter, every month to assist in a bible study for the children. I have been the youth leader for the past two years and need lots of help in assisting with setting up the stations, instructing the children and cleaning up. We color with the kids, play games, sing Christian songs, read a bible story, pray and give presents. The whole experience is very rewarding and enriching and I would love to open it up to the students of Westminster.

    The purpose of this club is to make a child patient's day a little bit better by doing an activity to distract them from what they are going through.

    The purpose of the club is to bring classmates closer together through fishing on the weekends and teaching them new techniques of fishing.

  • WCS Gavel Club: Toastmasters International

    This club helps students build communication and leadership skills. It provides practical experience through workshop-style meetings where participants present, compliment, and critique each other.
