    All ES Warrior Robotics Teams Earn Trip to World Championship

    UPDATE 2/20/18: All ES Warrior Robotics teams have earned a ticket to the World Championship. The Fourth and Fifth Grade teams earned their bids this weekend while competing at States. In addition, the Fifth Grade team won the State Excellence Award, and the Fourth Grade Boys Team won the Think Award.

    Congratulations to the Fourth Grade Girls Robotics Team who earned both the STEM Research Project Award and the Design Award this past weekend at the Second Annual RoboSlam Miami, earning them two bids to Vex IQ Robotics World Championship in Louisville, KY from April 29 to May 1. Team members are: Gaby Gonzalez, Sara Espitia, Reva Eikenberg, Ilysa Hilliard, Gigi Artiles, Gabriella Martin, Zoe De Varona, and Kaitlyn Walker.

    Middle School Robotics Teams Earn Trip to State Championship

    Two WCS Middle School VEX Robotics teams earned an invitation to the State Championship! In their first year, students had to overcome learning to build and program the VEX Robotics System and competing against mostly high school teams. The WCS teams consistently finished in the top half of each competition and were always one of the top middle school teams at each event.

  • WCS Alumni Support Fellow Alum in Local Performance

    After making numerous appearances with the Metropolitan Opera in New York City, Grammy award-winning John Easterlin '80, is back home in Miami making his Florida Grand Opera debut in Salome at the Adrienne Arsht Center. Back stage following a standing ovation performance, there was a happy Westminster Christian School mini reunion with WCS alum (as pictured L to R): Linda Blackburn Brown '80, John Easterlin '80, Scott McDuff '80, Kelly Cochran McDuff '81, Beverley McLellan Barrios '79, and Rebecca Barrios '13.

  • Preschoolers Meet Kipper!

    Kipper, the piglet, was excited to meet our WCS preschoolers! Kipper lives in the Barn where students were able to feed and pet him.  The highlight, however, was when the students each had a turn to run around the field with him and Mr. Heetderks. They learned many facts about pigs, which they have been excited to share with family and friends.
