Elementary School Robotics Wins Five World Bids, Seven Awards

During this year's State competition in Naples, FL, the elementary school robotics teams came home with seven awards. The REC Foundation also awarded five World bids at the competition, and Westminster won them all!
Below are the teams that participated and the awards that they received:
 
6855A:
-Design Award (World bid)
-Robot Skills Award (World bid)

6855A and 6855C:
-Teamwork Champions (World bid)
 
6855B:
-Teamwork 2nd Place
-Think Award
 
6855C:
-Excellence Award (World bid)
 
Teams B and C also tied for first place among all of the entries from around the world in the STEM Career Online Challenge while Team A won 3rd place worldwide in the Promote Online challenge.

Team A consisted of Manny Gonzalez '28, Antonio "TJ" Arner '28, Karen Izquierdo '28, Valeria Hernandez '28, and Valentina Rodriguez '28. Team B consisted of Christine Gordon '29, Khloe Fedee '29, Juju Hilliard '29 and Paulina Macias '29. Finally, Team C consisted of Ethan de Moya '28, Christian Newcomm '28, Christopher Wood '29, Lucas Cunado '29 and Dylan Hudson '29. Congratulations to each student and to their coaches Susan Godoy, Nanette Gordon and Claudia Pastrana. All three teams are now preparing for the VEX Robotics World Competition in May.
