The Florida Art Education Association (FAEA) has awarded four WCS students with honors, a huge accomplishment as these pieces were selected out of 1,200 entries from the entire state.  The winners are:
  • Senior Chrissy Jimenez received the incredible honor and first of its kind for WCS, by being named the Overall High School winner for her oil painting, "Break Out."
  • Senior Ashley Castano received an Excellence with Distinction award.
  • Senior Natasha Strump received an Excellence award
  • Eighth grader Claire Kennedy received an Excellence with Distinction award.
These students' artwork will be included in the FAEA's annual online virtual exhibition which will be launched at the FAEA Conference in St. Petersburg, FL, in October 2017.
