All ES Warrior Robotics Teams Earn Trip to World Championship

UPDATE 2/20/18: All ES Warrior Robotics teams have earned a ticket to the World Championship. The Fourth and Fifth Grade teams earned their bids this weekend while competing at States. In addition, the Fifth Grade team won the State Excellence Award, and the Fourth Grade Boys Team won the Think Award.

Congratulations to the Fourth Grade Girls Robotics Team who earned both the STEM Research Project Award and the Design Award this past weekend at the Second Annual RoboSlam Miami, earning them two bids to Vex IQ Robotics World Championship in Louisville, KY from April 29 to May 1. Team members are: Gaby Gonzalez, Sara Espitia, Reva Eikenberg, Ilysa Hilliard, Gigi Artiles, Gabriella Martin, Zoe De Varona, and Kaitlyn Walker.  
This same fourth grade team also won the STEM Research Project Award last week at the PPCMS VEX IQ Showdown. In addition, the WCS fifth grade robotics team also won the Design Award which earned them a bid to the Florida State Elementary School VEX IQ Competition Championship in Tampa on Feb. 19.  Team members are Ethan Jimenez, Eric Eikenberg, Justin Sanchez, Jordann Fabian, Emily Nasr, and Julia Almirall.  

All three WCS Elementary Robotics teams have now earned a state bid, in addition to one team’s bid to the World Championship.  Congratulations to these young men and women whose hard work is paying off!  Thank you to team sponsor Mrs. Claudia Pastrana for her leadership.
