Incredible People Needed for the Upcoming Academic Year

Founded in 1961, Westminster Christian School enrolls approximately 1,241 students in grades PK3 through 12. Westminster is located in the Village of Palmetto Bay, on 31 acres of tropical hammock a quarter mile from Biscayne Bay and 15 miles south of Miami, Florida.

We are eager to talk with anyone who is interested in joining an exceptional team of educators, who has the track record and personality to make them a contender, and who is ready to work hard at the best Christian School in paradise.

Persons interested in joining the Westminster Christian team will be asked to put their vision and leadership skills to work. Successful candidates will be able to articulate and implement an educational philosophy based in a reformed, evangelical theology and must be an active member of a Protestant church. Openings Currently Available

Varsity Head Coach - Boys' Lacrosse Program

Westminster Christian School is seeking a varsity head coach for our Boys' Lacrosse program. We are looking for someone to develop an outstanding team and program on the field as well as develop great young men off the field. The head coach is given control of the entire Boys' Lacrosse program from the MS through HS, and is supported by the school and athletic administration as needed. Coaches must adhere to all FHSAA and school policies, including the school's statement of faith. Previous coaching and playing experience preferred but not required. Full-time positions at the school may be available depending on the candidate's skills and qualifications. Classroom Assistant

Required Qualifications:
  • Active member in a Protestant church whose doctrine is consistent with Westminster Christian School's Statement of Belief
  • Belief that all students can achieve excellence
  • Knows WCS mission/philosophy, goals, and objectives
  • Understands the spiritual, academic, emotional, psychological and social needs and background of each student
  • Highly energetic, has initiative, loves working with elementary students
  • Able to work closely with the grade level teachers
  • Appropriate knowledge of child development
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Associate Degree or higher
  • Previous experience with or ability to work with elementary students
Director of Admission and Enrollment Management

Westminster Christian School is seeking a Director of Admission and Enrollment Management who is a consummate professional, an effective communicator, and demonstrates a love and enthusiasm for the Westminster mission and vision. The Director will possess strong analytical skills, an appreciation for workflow, and the ability to motivate and encourage. In their interactions, the Director will exude warmth, service, and a commitment to Christian education. The ideal candidate will be collaborative, detailed-oriented, and have excellent public speaking skills. 
 
Qualified candidates will be active members of a Protestant church, and have prior experience in education, either administrative or in the classroom. A bachelor's degree is required; Master's degree and prior admission experience is preferred.

College Counselor


Westminster is seeking a College Counselor to educate students and parents about colleges, the college admissions process, trends, procedures, and testing. The counselor will support 30-50 students and their families as they go through the college admission process and provide sound advice to set realistic expectations.  

Experience in college admissions or high school college counseling, teaching experience, is a plus. Bachelor's degree is required, and a master's degree is preferred.

Business/Accounting Teacher

Westminster is seeking an experienced Business/Accounting teacher. Qualified candidates will meet the following minimum requirements:
  • Related Master's degree, or at least 18 graduate degree credits, in field.
  • Certified or certifiable with the Florida Department of Education.
Successful candidates will be able to articulate and implement an educational philosophy based in a reformed, evangelical theology and must be an active member of a Protestant church.

Applicants must be able to:
  • Develop lesson plans and original assessments
  • Keep accurate records of student progress
  • Communicate with students, parents, and counselors to discuss any concerns or issues that may arise.
  • Collaborate with the department head and colleagues on a regular basis.
High School English Teacher

Westminster is seeking a High School English teacher who will bring enthusiasm and experience to the classroom. 

Qualified candidates will possess at minimum an undergraduate degree in English and be certified or certifiable with the Florida Department of Education.
 
Applicants must be able to:
  • Develop lesson plans and original assessments.
  • Keep accurate records of student progress.
  • Communicate with students, parents, and counselors to discuss any concerns or issues that may arise.
  • Collaborate with the department head and colleagues in their department on a regular basis.

Middle School Seventh Grade English Teacher

Westminster is seeking candidates who will bring enthusiasm and experience teaching the following curriculum:
  • The analysis of literature, figurative language, and reading comprehension.
  • Emphasis is on the study of a variety of novels--both collectively and independently--short stories, plays, and poetry.
  • The writing portion of the class stresses the development of vocabulary, research, mechanics, and grammatical skills to communicate effectively.
Qualified candidates will possess at minimum an undergraduate degree in English and be certified or certifiable with the Florida Department of Education.
 
Successful candidates will be able to articulate and implement an educational philosophy based in a reformed, evangelical theology and must be an active member of a Protestant church.
