Founded in 1961, Westminster Christian School enrolls approximately 1,241 students in grades PK3 through 12. Westminster is located in the Village of Palmetto Bay, on 31 acres of tropical hammock a quarter mile from Biscayne Bay and 15 miles south of Miami, Florida.

We are eager to talk with anyone who is interested in joining an exceptional team of educators, who has the track record and personality to make them a contender, and who is ready to work hard at the best Christian School in paradise.

Persons interested in joining the Westminster Christian team will be asked to put their vision and leadership skills to work. Successful candidates will be able to articulate and implement an educational philosophy based in a reformed, evangelical theology and must be an active member of a Protestant church. We are looking for people with strong, well defended opinions who are also team players. We are looking for confident, creative, energetic people who are passionate about instilling the love of learning in their students and who foster curiosity, creativity, and collaboration.

  • Athletics - Head Varsity Softball Coach

    Westminster is seeking a head varsity softball coach for the 2023 season that can develop an outstanding team and program on the field as well as develop great young women off the field. The head coach is given control of the entire softball program from middle school to high school, and is supported by the school and athletic administration as needed. Coaches must adhere to all FHSAA and school policies, including the school's statement of faith. Previous coaching experience required.

  • Athletics - Part-Time Bus Driver

      • Must demonstrate prompt and regular attendance.
      • Must be able to communicate effectively with students, parents and staff.
      • Must have in their possession a valid Florida CDL license with required passenger (P) and school bus driver (S) endorsements. Driver applicants must submit to a background check prior to being hired and inquiries to their Motor Vehicle Records. 
      • Be responsible for conducting a mechanical safety pre-trip inspection prior to each bus run and a post-trip inspection upon completion of each route. 
      • Will be directly responsible for keeping their bus clean and equipment operational at all times. Malfunctioning equipment must be reported in writing for repair or replacement.
      • Must present an appropriate professional appearance and demeanor while dealing with students, parents, staff.
  • Elementary - Extended Day Worker (After School Hours)

    Required Qualifications:
    • Active member in a Protestant church whose doctrine is consistent with Westminster Christian School's Statement of Belief
    • Belief that all students can achieve excellence
    • Knows Westminster mission/philosophy and core values
    • Highly energetic, has initiative, loves young children
    • Appropriate knowledge of child development to engage preschool/elementary students with activities
    • Understanding of how to supervise elementary students
    • Able to work from 2:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. Monday through Friday, except on Thursdays, work from 1:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m.
    Preferred Qualifications:
      • Previous experience with or ability to work with preschool/elementary children
  • Fine Arts - Director of Theatre

    Westminster Christian School is seeking an experienced theatre professional with stage directing and classroom management skills to oversee the development of the Middle and High School Theatre Program.

    This person will teach fundamentals of dramatic interpretation/expression, as well as more advanced skills of character and story development, voice and acting techniques, and prop and costume design. Responsibilities include repertoire selection, curriculum development, directing, budgeting and hands-on leadership as an active educator, preparing for productions and focusing on appropriate student development and excellent parent communication.

    Experience in musical theatre and dance is a plus. This position will require after-school and travel commitments as scheduled.
    Qualified candidates will possess at minimum an undergraduate degree in a related field and be certified or certifiable with the Florida Department of Education. Successful candidates will be able to work in collaboration with members of the Fine Arts Team in setting goals and standards within the theatre program.  
     
  • High School - AP Chemistry Teacher

    Westminster is seeking an AP Chemistry teacher who will bring enthusiasm and experience to the classroom.   

    Qualified candidates will possess at minimum an undergraduate degree in a related field and be certified or certifiable with the Florida Department of Education. 
     
    Applicants must be able to:
     
      • Develop lesson plans and original assessments
      • Keep accurate records of student progress
      • Communicate with students, parents, and counselors to discuss any concerns or issues that may arise.
      • Collaborate with the department head and colleagues in their department on a regular basis.
      • Successful candidates will be able to articulate and implement an educational philosophy based in a reformed, evangelical theology and must be an active member of a Protestant church
