Juan Rondeau ’27 Headed to Scripps National Spelling Bee for Second Consecutive Year
Juan Rondeau ’27, who competed against 23 other students from Miami-Dade and Monroe elementary and middle schools, won the Miami Herald Spelling Bee for the second consecutive year. This year’s competition included students from public schools, charter schools, private schools and students who are home schooled.
Rondeau won with the word Hebrides, a Scottish archipelago.
Rondeau will now compete in the Scripps National Spelling Bee on June 2 in Harbor, Maryland. The finals will be broadcast live on ION.
