Every child, from our youngest preschoolers to our oldest fifth graders, has a place in The Hub, and the way we spend our time together grows and changes as your child grows. Below is a quick look at what your child's year in the library will look like, organized by grade.

 

 

Accelerated Reader is a reading program that helps students strengthen comprehension skills by taking short quizzes on books they've completed. Each quiz earns points that accumulate throughout the year, and we celebrate our readers along the way with shout-outs and end-of-quarter recognition. A few honor-code reminders we share with students at every grade level:

The Nerd Herd is a voluntary lunchtime book club for students in grades 3–5 who love to read, think, and share ideas. Meetings happen once a month during lunch, so there's no afterschool commitment. Students can join for one book discussion or all of them.
