Honors Girls Ensemble Performs the Star Spangled Banner
The Honors Girls Ensemble (HGE) participated in a virtual master class with Gunnery Sergeant Sara Sheffield of "The President's Own" Marine Band where she shared with them the musical and historical aspects of the piece. Under the direction of Westminster Choir Director Dr. Lauren Hartman, the 12-member girls ensemble recorded the “Star Spangled Banner" in five-part harmony. They enjoyed the workshop and working together to produce this beautiful rendition.
You can hear the HGE in person at the Fall Association Meeting, November 19, on the Lighthouse stage when they will sing “Bless this House” accompanied by Westminster’s own Symphonic Band.
