AP Seminar Visit Tour Department of Homeland Security

AP Seminar students Leila Barket, James Lee, Aria Upton, and Charlotte Leigh toured Department of Homeland Security’s Krome Detention Center with Assistant Chief Counsel Rodion Tadenev. They met DHS attorneys and a supervisory detention and deportation officer who shared about the intricacies of the law and the value of critical thinking in determining truth and credibility.
They were then able to attend a court hearing which helped them gain valuable insight in developing their rhetoric, logic, and presentation techniques. Thanks to Ms. North for providing this opportunity to the students!
