ES Students Work Together to Support Frontline Workers

During the first quarter, preschool and elementary students worked together to thank and support frontline workers in our community.

Students in Mrs. Abbey's first grade class wrote thank you notes and collected waters and snacks for those working at Baptist Hospital's Medical Surgical COVID Unit and the Critical Care COVID Unit.  Westminster parents Mrs. Melinda Aberman and Dr. Elise Granja made the very large delivery and hung the student notes in the staff break room.

Mrs. Barboza's first grade class recognized our on-site housekeeping crew and Chef Manny and his kitchen staff.

Mrs. Blaum and Mrs. Campos' kindergarten class made special signs and hung a huge banner in the local store to thank the essential workers at Publix in Pinecrest.

The third grade honored Homestead Hospital's healthcare workers by delivering thank you notes and goody bags.

Mrs. Belvedere's kindergarten class and Mrs. Taylor's fourth grade class thanked the healthcare workers at Nicklaus Children's hospital by providing lunch and many cards.

The fifth grade students made bookmarks, cards, and brought lifesaver treats for the "lifesavers" at Baptist Hospital.

Thank you to the many school families whose donations made this service project possible. Shout out to Westminster Hubrarian Mrs. Glavach who designed stickers that reminded healthcare workers that Westminster Christian School loves them!

During each quarter, the preschool and elementary students focus their servant hearts in support of a different organization or segment within our community.  Next quarter's service project will support first responders.
