Student Leadership Begins Mental Health Awareness Campaign
Student Leadership has started a mental health awareness campaign with the hopes of helping students battle some of the pressures brought on by 2020.
Students at Westminster kicked off the campaign by writing Bible verses and positive messages on the ground near the school's high school entrance. A series of small group discussions will also be taking place and will cover topics such as anxiety, depression and suicide prevention.
Mrs. Dumas, a licensed mental health counselor, met with some of the students to provide clarity and incite on some of these topics. Mr. Green, the high school counselor, will also be involved in the discussions.
