Despite the many challenges brought on by the pandemic, Westminster Christian School Athletics had a banner year! A record six teams won Regional championships and advanced to their state tournament finals, and one team brought home the State title.
To end the year, Westminster athletes and coaches stole the show at this year’s Miami Herald All-County Award Ceremony. Nine athletes county-wide were chosen as finalists for the Overall Athlete of the Year Award, four were Westminster students, and two of those four athletes took home the title.
"These awards and titles are a reflection of the immense talent, dedication and drive that our athletes and coaches continuously showcased throughout the year. I am so proud of what we have been able to accomplish," said Ben Warren, Westminster's athletics director.
Westminster's student-athletes and coaches also took home awards in Girls’ Volleyball Player of the Year, Softball Player of the Year, Baseball Player of the Year, Softball Coach of the Year, Boys' Soccer Coach of the Year, Girls' Soccer Coach of the Year and Girls' Volleyball Coach of the Year.
What an incredible example of our students’ and coaches’ commitment to excellence. Glory be to God!
