Westminster Drama Students Qualify for States
Congratulations to the 32 high school theater students who recently competed in a total of 20 individual events at the District 8 Thespian Theatre Competition in Miami-Dade County, the fourth largest school district in the U.S. It was the first time in school history that Westminster qualified in every participating event for the Florida Thespian State Competition in Tampa in March.
Of the 20 individual events competing, students earned 11 SUPERIORS and nine EXCELLENT ratings. Special recognition goes to Maddie Diaz '24 who brought home the coveted CRITIC’S CHOICE Top Honors Award, which is awarded to the best in all of Miami-Dade County/District 8. The awards were received as follows:
