MS Course Selection Process Begins
The 2026-27 Middle School Course Guide is available, and the course selection process will open on Monday, April 27. The steps below outline the process to follow to ensure proper placement for each student:
April 27 – May 4: Course requests for elective classes will be available in myWCS. During this time, Middle School team members will visit classrooms to guide students through the course request process.
May 4 – May 11: Parents will receive a notification banner in myWCS to review and approve their child’s course requests. The deadline for parent approval is Monday, May 11.
Placement Review: All student course requests will be reviewed to ensure proper placement based on school criteria. Please note that this process applies to elective courses only. Core classes will be assigned during the summer when your child’s schedule is created. Placement in core classes is determined based on grade level, teacher recommendation, and standardized test scores.
July:
A tentative 2026–27 course schedule will be finalized and shared with students and parents. At that time, the Middle School team will be available to review any scheduling questions or concerns.
